Website cloning is the process of creating a replica of your existing website design or content to create a new website with ease. Website cloning lets developers and designers create blueprints, test compatibility, and perform updates safely before implementing the changes on your live website.
In this guide we will show you how to clone a WordPress website on your inputhost service using Wordpress Toolkit.
1) Log in to cPanel.
2) Click on WordPress Toolkit under Applications.
3) Click on the Clone option in your installation’s details.
4) Some cloning options will appear,
Create subdomain: this option allows you to create a new sub-domain of your primary domain with a copy of your existing website.
Use existing domain or sub-domain: this option will allow you to select an existing domain or sub-domain you have setup, to clone your website to.
Database: Advanced users might want to change the database name, but it’s not necessary.
5) Click Start to begin the cloning process.
You have now cloned your wordpress website using WordPress Toolkit.
